The LifePsyche Difference

The LifePsyche Difference

Welcome to LifePsyche, a progressive and integrative psychology, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practice.

At LifePsyche we take a functional approach to nutrition and psychology.

Functional nutrition and psychology are components of a broader medical approach, referred to as functional medicine.

Functional medicine uses a systems-based approach that looks upstream from the person’s symptomatic presentation and considers the complex interplay of the person’s history, genetics, lifestyle, environment, and physiological status on mental and physical functioning.

Functional approaches focus on identifying and addressing root causes of disease/disorder. Root causes can include triggers such as poor nutrition, stress, unhelpful belief systems, trauma, toxins, allergens, genetics, lifestyle factors such as inactivity and the status of social relationships, medications, your microbiome, and other factors.

The goal is to treat the whole person, not just their symptoms. By listening carefully and working closely with you, we develop a complete picture of all the issues and obstacles that prevent you from enjoying the kind of life and health that you want for yourself.

Functional approaches are never one-size-fits-all. Functional approaches collate information into an operating system that informs personalised strategies to improve a person’s function through nutritional, mental, behavioural and lifestyle interventions.

Contact LifePsyche to discuss how we can work with you to create personalised health solutions for your mind and body so that you can live a successful, happier and healthier life.

Providing Integrative and Functional Health Solutions

LifePsyche combines psychology, nutrition, and general health principles to provide personalized counselling, education, and guidance. Our services are designed to help clients optimize their well-being and enhance both their healthspan and lifespan.

Areas of special interest include:

Integrative, metabolic and functional psychology: A personalised approach for helping clients manage mental health conditions, well-being, and quality of life by exploring the interplay of genes, biology (including biochemistry), life events, nutrition, lifestyle and environmental factors. The aim is to develop a personalised approach that treats and cares for the whole person not just their symptoms.
The management of eating disorders, disordered eating, and eating, weight and body-image issues.
The prevention and management of cognitive decline and dementia (Recharge Your Brain).
Integrative, metabolic and functional nutrition: the practice of considering every aspect of health, diet and overall lifestyle when giving personalised nutrition recommendations. LifePsyche’s approach to diet and nutrition considers not only the physical aspects of food but also its impact on mental well-being, emotions, and overall psychological health. This encompasses mindful eating practices, the relationship between food and mood, and the psychological factors influencing dietary habits and choices.
Anti-ageing and longevity coaching – ageing well, living well.
